The next committee meeting will be held at 9am on September 13 at 1 Shannen Court Urraween. It's important that all members attend this meeting.

16 August 2009 The Secretary imformed the meeting that once the Facility was completed the committee would no longer be required the QAS and would not be covered by their Liability Insurance. A lengthy discussion took place and it was decided that the Committee would look at ways of continuing to function in support of the Facility.

A Thank You Party is being organised at Bunnings to thank all the organizations that have helped us raise money through the Sausage Sizzle.

The Committee has decided to purchase an airconditioner for the Facility from Cates Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. A painting left over from the raffles will be placed in the Facility.

It was decided that funds raised by the Committee for the Facility will be handed over to the Fraser Coast Regional Council on the day the Facility is opened.

19 July 2009 A report was presented to the meeting regarding signage for the building. The Treasurer was unable to give a report for the Committee's books are at the Auditor's.

Harvey Norman have donated a microwave oven for the facility and Cates Air Conditioning and Refrigeration will install an airconditioner for the facility at cost price.

It appears that the official opening of the Facility will take place during Ambulance Week in September.

31 May 2009 The treasurer presented a balance sheet showing an income for the month of $4074.68 and a total of cash on hand of $45,190.80

The latest raffle is going well and has so far realised a sum of $1542.00. It will consluce on June 10 and be drawn at Bunnings on June 12 at 12 noon.

A discussion took place regarding the handing over of the funs raised. It was decided that after the specified amount of money has been given to the Fraser Coast Regional Council the balance would be placed in a fixed deposit and used to pay for the care and maintenance of the building.

A recognition board and landscaping for the Facility were also discussed.

16 May 2009 The car rally was discussed and a decision was made to purchase more sausages. Selwyin reported that the first sod for the Patient Transfer Facility should be turned on June 1 and it was suggested that members attend and television coverage be arranged.

A theatre dinner night was suggested as a new fund raising project and this is to be investigated.

The Treasurer reported that $3543.28 was raised from the Dinner Cruise and $3804.60 was raised from the toolbox raffle.

3 May 2009 The upcoming cruise was discussed. Advertising for the cruise was purchased in the Observer and the Herald. There were still quite a few tickets to be sold.

Arrangements for the car rally were also discussed and a new raffle has been started that will be drawn on June 12.

26 April 2009 Denis and Selwyn reported on their visit to the Council meeting which produced nothing of any value. Ticket sales for the Dinner Cruise have improved.

Preparations for the Car Rally at Seafront Oval on May 17 were discussed. The local member has approached the committee and offered any assitance he could give.

Construction of the shed at the airport should begin at the beginning of May.

12 April 2009 The proposed car rally has now been moved back to the Seafront Oval and will commence at 12 noon.

Members of the Committee will now attend the next Council meeting in an effort to get some questions answered since no response has been received to a number of emails that have been sent to Council.

Further efforts are to be made in an effort to promote the cruise because sales of tickets have not been good.

Sales of tickets in the major raffle have almost finished and the last tickets should be sold during the car rally.

15 March 2009 The Emergency Services Department has a policy regarding continuous flooring and this will cause problems for the transfer facility. The committee decided to send a request to the Minister for a direction in relation to the flooring.

The proposed car rally is now to be held at 36-42 Hillyard Street Pialba.

The committee was advised that the sale of raffle tickets at Bunnings each Friday was going well and over $1,000 has been raised. Tickets will also be sold outside Woolworths at Urangan each Wednesday morning until May 17.

Discussion also took place about the purchase of bumper stickers.

15 February 2009 - Preparations for the proposed car rally have stalled because the Seafront Oval is unavailable on May 17. Other options are being investigated.

A twilight cruise has been organised for May 10 and tickets for the latest raffle have been printed. The committee has been invited to participate in the Garden Club's morning tea on March 12. It was decided that we accept the invitation.

8th February 2009 - A special meeting was held to hear a proposal from representatives of the Fraser Coast Historic Vehicle Club to raise funds via a vintage car rally and display to be held at the Seafront Oval on May 17.

18 January 2009 - Various matters were discussed at the meeting including the provision of equipment for the facility once it is built, airconditioning for the facility and the quote for suitable flooring for the building.

Ways to raise further funds were also discussed.

4 January 2009 - report received on pricing from various outlets for furnishing the building. A quote for the flooring for the facility was received and found to be acceptable.

The meeting also discussed a Porta Shade to cover the distance between the building and the RFDS plane and the supply of air conditioners for the facility.

A brain-storming session was also held to look at ways of raising funds over the next 12 months.

31 December 2008 - The next meeting of the committe has been moved forward to 9am on January 4.

14 December 2008 - Reports on the Bed Push and Raffle were received and both considered to be a success. The committee took note of some negatives from the Bed Push so that it could be done better next time.

The committee considered the internal fitout of the facility and further investigation is required. The next meeting will be held on 17 January 2009.

10 December 2008 - The Hervey Bay RSL and Services Memorial Club has voted unanimously to donate $80,000 to the project.

6 December 2008 - The bed push was held today and it went of very well. At first rough count we raised $2594.00. Well done everyone!

4 December 2008 - We are no officially a sub-committee of the local ambulance committee. This solves a lot of problems for us.

23 November 2008 - The Hervey Bay Local Ambulance Committee is meeting next Saturday November 29 to approve the creation of a sub-committee for the raising of funds for the proposed patient transfer facility.

All members of the Fraser Coast Patient Transfer Facility Committee are urged to attend the meeting at the Ambulance station commencing at 4pm.

19 November 2008 - Bruce Smith has resigned as Chairman due to personal committments. Trevor Trost has been elected as the new Chairman.

Plans for the Bed Push are well under way and a special bed, complete with steering wheel, has been provided by St Stephens Private Hospital.

A banner for the group has been purchased and the meeting approved the purchase of 500 bumper stickers to be sold to raise funds. It was also approved that we purchase a larger banner for fund-raising activities.

2nd November 2008 - The drawing of the monster raffle will now take place at Bunnings on November 28

27 September 2008 - The garage sale raised almost $3,000
